(Reuters) - Wall Street ended flat on Thursday as a steep fall for the energy sector countered some solid earnings reports, with major stock indexes closing little changed after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a healthcare overhaul.

The House on Thursday afternoon narrowly voted to repeal major portions of the 2010 Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, and replace it with a Republican healthcare plan, sending it to the Senate for consideration.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Electric-car maker Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) on Wednesday reported first-quarter revenue that more than doubled, and while saying the upcoming Model 3 was on schedule for July, it downplayed the mass-market vehicle to give a sales pitch for its more expensive Model S.

Chief Executive Elon Musk's bold approach to cars, space exploration and clean energy has fueled investor enthusiasm for Tesla. But skeptics are waiting to see if Musk can fulfill his promise of producing 500,000 cars per year in 2018, or six times Tesla's 2016 production.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) reported Q1 EPS of ($1.33), $0.52 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.81). Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.6 billion.
