NorthWestern Reports First Quarter 2017 Financial Results
April 26, 2017 6:00 PM EDTSIOUX FALLS, S.D., April 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (NYSE: NWE) reported financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. Net income for the period was $56.6 million, or $1.17 per diluted share, as compared with net income of $39.9 million, or $0.82 per diluted share, for the same period in 2017. This $16.7 million increase in net income is primarily the result of increased retail electric and natural gas volumes in 2017 and a disallowance of replacement power costs in 2016 that negatively impacted first quarter earnings last year. These improvements were partially offset by higher...
