NorthWestern Reports Third Quarter 2016 Financial Results
October 20, 2016 6:00 AM EDTSIOUX FALLS, S.D., Oct. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (NYSE: NWE) reported financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2016. Net income for the quarter was $44.6 million, or $0.92 per diluted share, as compared with net income of $23.8 million, or $0.51 per diluted share, for the same period in 2015. This $20.8 million increase in net income is primarily due to a $15.5 million tax benefit as part of a tax accounting change related to costs to repair electric generation property along with improved gross margin driven by an increase in South...
