Carlisle Reports Record First Quarter Earnings Per Share from Continuing Operations of $1.05, a 78% Increase over the Prior Year, on Record First Quarter Net Sales
April 27, 2016 6:00 AM EDTCHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Carlisle Companies, Incorporated (NYSE: CSL) reported record first quarter net sales from continuing operations of $794.0 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016, a 12% increase from $709.3 million in the first quarter 2015. Net sales from acquisitions contributed 8.6% to net sales in the first quarter. Organic net sales (defined as net sales excluding sales from acquisitions within the last twelve months, as well as the impact of changes in foreign exchange rates versus the U.S. dollar) grew 3.6%. Fluctuations from foreign exchange had a negative impact to net sales of less than 1%.
