(Nasdaq: MKSI) and Newport Corporation (Nasdaq: NEWP), a worldwide leader in photonics solutions, today announced that they have entered into an agreement for MKS Instruments to acquire Newport Corporation for $23.00 per share. The all-cash transaction is valued at approximately $980 million.
The combined company is expected to have approximately $1.4 billion in pro forma annual revenue, based on the two companies 2015 historical results.
