Leerink Partners Cuts Price Target Following Anthem's (ANTM) Mixed 4Q Results
January 28, 2016 8:23 AM ESTLeerink Partners maintained an Outperform rating on Anthem (NYSE: ANTM), and cut the price target to $190.00 (from $200.00), following the company's 4Q earnings report. 2015 adjusted EPS of $10.16 missed modestly from the previously disclosed shutdown of the Colorado Coop. 2016 EPS guidance floor of $10.80 was reaffirmed with upside on MLR and SG&A though at tepid top-line growth marked by HIX and Employer losses.

Anthem (ANTM) Misses Q4 EPS by 8c

Health insurer Anthem says Obamacare costs drag down fourth-quarter profit

(Reuters) - Health insurer Anthem Inc (NYSE: ANTM), which is in the process of buying smaller rival Cigna Corp (NYSE: CI), said on Wednesday its individual Obamacare exchange health plans weighed on fourth-quarter profit, causing it to miss analysts' expectations.
Anthem said that it had nearly 800,000 people enrolled in plans through the exchanges, which were created under President Barack Obama's national healthcare reform law, about 30 percent below its expectations.
