September 3, 2015 9:29 AM EDTPericom Semiconductor (NASDAQ: PSEM) 39% HIGHER; Diodes (NASDAQ: DIOD) and Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEM) announced that Diodes Incorporated and Pericom have entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger that provides for the acquisition of Pericom by Diodes. At the effective date of the merger, each share of Pericom will be converted into the right to receive $17.00 in cash, without interest.

September 2, 2015 5:04 PM EDTGeron Corp (Nasdaq: GERN) announced the publication of two papers in The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) in which the companys telomerase inhibitor, imetelstat, was shown to have disease-modifying activity thought to be associated with selective inhibition of the malignant progenitor cell clones responsible for the underlying disease in two hematologic myeloid malignancies, essential thrombocythemia (ET) and myelofibrosis (MF).
