Books-A-Million, Inc. Announces Second Quarter Results

Books-A-Million, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAMM) today announced financial results for the 13-week and 26-week periods ended August 1, 2015. Revenue for the 13-week period ended August 1, 2015, decreased 0.4% to $107.9 million, compared with revenue of $108.3 million in the year earlier period. Comparable store sales for the second quarter decreased 0.3% compared with the 13-week period in the prior year. Net loss attributable to Books-A-Million for the second quarter was $5.8 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $3.0 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, in the year earlier period.
