AutoZone 3rd Quarter Same Store Sales Increase 2.3%; EPS Increases 13.1% to $9.57
May 26, 2015 7:00 AM EDTMEMPHIS, Tenn., May 26, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) today reported net sales of $2.5 billion for its third quarter (12 weeks) ended May 9, 2015, an increase of 6.5% from the third quarter of fiscal 2014 (12 weeks). Domestic same store sales, or sales for stores open at least one year, increased 2.3% for the quarter.
Net income for the quarter increased 8.4% over the same period last year to $309.1 million, while diluted earnings per share increased 13.1% to $9.57 per share from $8.46 per share in the year-ago quarter.
