Northland Capital Markets maintained Market Perform rating on Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) and lowers its price target to $37 (from $41) after ITRI posted "modest bookings". Although ITRI announced that Duquesne Light & Power had signed on to have ITRI manage its smart grid network with recurring revenue in the $2/meter range, Northland is concerned that both the Water and Gas segments saw GM declines of 500+ bps Y-o-Y. Management noted that the results were skewed by one-time items.
