Northland Remains Neutral Towards Itron (ITRI) in Wake of 'Modest Bookings'

Northland Capital Markets maintained Market Perform rating on Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) and lowers its price target to $37 (from $41) after ITRI posted "modest bookings". Although ITRI announced that Duquesne Light & Power had signed on to have ITRI manage its smart grid network with recurring revenue in the $2/meter range, Northland is concerned that both the Water and Gas segments saw GM declines of 500+ bps Y-o-Y. Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) announced today that John Holleran, the companys executive vice president (EVP) and chief operating officer (COO), will be departing Itron effective the end of 2015.
