Rite Aid Reports Same Store Sales for April
April 30, 2015 8:30 AM EDTCAMP HILL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) today announced sales results for April.
Monthly Sales
For the four weeks ended Apr. 25, 2015, same store sales increased 3.0 percent over the prior-year period. April front-end same store sales, which were negatively impacted by 0.9 percent due to a shift in the timing of Easter, decreased 0.5 percent. Pharmacy same store sales, which included an approximate 145 basis points negative impact from new generic introductions, increased 4.6 percent. Prescription count at comparable stores increased 1.8 percent over the prior-year period.
