United Announces Record First-Quarter Profit
April 23, 2015 7:30 AM EDTCHICAGO, April 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --Â United Airlines (UAL) today reported first-quarter 2015 net income of $582 million, or $1.52 per diluted share, excluding $74 million of special items. Including special items, UAL reported first-quarter net income of $508 million, or $1.32 per diluted share. These results are a record first-quarter profit for the company.
UAL earned a 17.1 percent return on invested capital for the 12 months ended March 31, 2015. UAL's consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased 0.4 percent for first-quarter 2015 compared to first-quarter 2014.
