AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) and Pharmacyclics (NASDAQ: PCYC) today announced a definitive agreement under which AbbVie will acquire Pharmacyclics, and its flagship asset Imbruvica® (ibrutinib), a highly effective treatment for hematologic malignancies.
