Wal-Mart (WMT) Tops Q4 EPS by 7c, FY EPS Guidance Falls Short
February 19, 2015 8:34 AM ESTWal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) reported Q4 EPS of $1.61, $0.07 better than the analyst estimate of $1.54. Revenue for the quarter came in at $131.6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $132.29 billion. Walmart U.S. comp sales increased 1.5 percent for the 13-week period ended Jan. 30, 2015.
Wal-Mart sees Q1 2016 EPS of $0.95-$1.10, versus the consensus of $1.14.
Wal-Mart sees FY2016 EPS of $4.70-$5.05, versus the consensus of $5.19.
Guidance
The company provided guidance for EPS and updated its estimate for fiscal year 2016 sales growth.
