January 2, 2015 2:00 PM ESTMacau gaming stocks declined Friday after gross gaming revenue data showed a 30% year-over-year decline in December. This was in line with expectations, noted analyst Simon Cheung of Goldman Sachs. He also noted some positive anecdotal information and discussed a tightening smoking ban and stricter scrutiny of agents. Overall he expects trends to remain choppy. Goldman's base case assumes 3% gross gaming revenue growth in 2015, heavily weighted toward the back half of the year.
