Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) just gained access to another 4.6 million potential customers.
With its quarterly results released earlier, U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) said it will begin offering Apple devices, though it didn't specify which ones. Popular choices would be the iPhone and iPad (both variations), though just one or the other might be up for grabs right now.
U.S. Cellular joins T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) in being the recent U.S. additions to begin selling Apple's key handset. T-Mobile recently said it had "one of the biggest weekends" ever after sales of the iPhone started last month, but nothing specific had been announced since.
Shares of Apple are up over 1 percent Friday.
