Notable ETF Movers of the Day 10/12: (IYT) Higher; (XME) (XLF) Lower

Gainers:

iShares Dow Jones Transportation Average (NYSE: IYT) gained 0.5 percent to 89.25. JB Hunt (Nasdaq: JBHT) reported earnings today, and investors liked what they saw. Share of JBHT are higer by 7 percent. Gains were also seen in logistics company, CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRW). Today it was upgraded to Neutral by analysts at JPMorgan. CH Robinson has a 5.5 percent weighting in IYT.

Decliners:

SPDR S&P Metals & Mining (XME) declined 2 percent to 44.20. Titanium Metals Corporation (NYSE: TIE) took some damage today, declining 2.75 percent. TIE has a 3.2 percent weighting in XME. Today is was downgrade from Buy to Neutral by analysts at Citi.

Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) declined 1.6 percent to 15.77. Shares of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) fell 3.5 percent in the wake of disappointing earnings. While EPS beat views, investors expressed concern about a decline in the company’s lending and mortgage business, which offset a rise in fees. JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) also reported earnings today, beating estimates.
