3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) opened a new Industrial Technology Center in Littleton, Colorado, adding approximately 50,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space to its existing campus, according to a company statement.

The expansion brings 3D Systems' total advanced manufacturing footprint to approximately 270,000 square feet across the United States and Europe. The Littleton facility is intended to serve aerospace, defense, and semiconductor equipment manufacturers seeking domestic additive manufacturing capacity.

The facility holds several certifications relevant to regulated industries, including ISO9001/AS9100D, ITAR registration, JCP registration with eJCP in process, and CMMC Level 2 compliance for controlled unclassified information.

"Customers today need more than manufacturing capacity. They need a trusted partner that can help them develop applications, qualify processes, and scale production with confidence," said Reji Puthenveetil, Executive Vice President, Additive Solutions, 3D Systems.

President and CEO Dr. Jeffrey Graves said the facility also creates opportunities for the company's existing healthcare manufacturing operations at the Littleton campus. "This investment reinforces our commitment to advanced manufacturing in the United States while creating new opportunities for engineers, technicians, and manufacturing professionals in Colorado," he said.

3D Systems said its domestic manufacturing network spans metal additive system development in California, large-format printer manufacturing in South Carolina, and the new application development and parts production hub in Colorado. The California work is part of a multi-phase U.S. Air Force sponsored program.
