Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW) and EnduroSat have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at combining their respective capabilities to serve European government, defense, and commercial space markets, according to a press release from Redwire.
The agreement is intended to pair EnduroSat's high-volume spacecraft manufacturing with Redwire's power systems and experience as a prime contractor. Together, the companies said they plan to pursue opportunities in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) operations for national defense, EU-based orbital data centers, and next-generation positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) constellations.
"The partnership with EnduroSat will help European customers field the space capabilities they need," said Marc Dielissen, Director General of Redwire Space Europe. "Redwire's expertise in cutting-edge power solutions, deep space avionics, and successful track record as a mission prime coupled with EnduroSat's expertise in high-volume spacecraft manufacturing will enable us to deliver more agile, reliable, affordable, and scalable space solutions to more customers."
Redwire has previously served as prime contractor on missions including ESA's Skimsat VLEO technology demonstrator, Belgian Defence's MATTEO security satellite, and ESA's Σyndeo-3 mission. EnduroSat has received recent constellation orders from Trustpoint, for a GPS-independent PNT constellation, and Vantor, for a fleet of Earth-imaging satellites.
"By combining Redwire's heritage as a prime on major European and U.S. missions with EnduroSat's serial satellite production and end-to-end constellation-as-a-service, customers can have the confidence and the speed to scale they require," said Victor Danchev, CTO of EnduroSat.
Redwire employs approximately 1,400 people across Europe and North America.
