Domino’s Pizza Group reports 2.3% sales growth in Q3, keeps guidance; shares dip

Investing.com -- U.K.’s Domino’s Pizza Group reported third-quarter like-for-like sales growth of 2.3% and maintained its full-year guidance. Shares fell more than 3% in London trading.

The pizza chain’s total system sales rose 3.5% in the three months ended September 30, while like-for-like orders increased 1.4%. Year-to-date like-for-like sales growth reached 4%. The Soccer World Cup at the start of the quarter helped drive sales, with momentum continuing through August and September.

Still, shares declined following the results as investors appeared to have anticipated stronger guidance given the better-than-expected sales performance. The company, which franchises more than 1,400 stores across the UK and Ireland, said it remains confident of achieving earnings expectations for the full year in line with market expectations.

Performance was driven by growth in both pizza and Chick ’N’ Dip, the fried chicken product rolled out last year. The company’s Italianos pizza range continued to deliver strong sales. Total orders rose 2.6% in the quarter.

"Our strong performance year-to-date reflects our organic growth strategy and we have been rewarded by our focus on the core Domino’s business model," said CEO Nicola Frampton.

Domino’s said all major cost categories are fixed for fiscal 2026 and into fiscal 2027, providing visibility over its cost base. Combined with strategic growth initiatives, the company expressed confidence in delivering earnings growth in fiscal 2027 and beyond.
