Doximity (NYSE: DOCS) and Wolters Kluwer Health announced a partnership to integrate UpToDate's clinical content directly into Doximity's AI clinical decision support tool, Ask, according to a joint press release.
In the coming weeks, clinicians at health systems using both Doximity and UpToDate will be able to view responses drawn from UpToDate's library of 13,000 topics and best practice guides alongside Doximity Ask's AI-generated answers. UpToDate's content is developed by a network of 7,600 expert clinicians, editors, and peer reviewers.
"Doctors know the value of a second opinion," said Jeff Tangney, CEO of Doximity. "With UpToDate available inside Doximity Ask, they can now get one instantly, from thousands of their peers, without leaving their workflow."
Yaw Fellin, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Clinical Decision Support and Provider Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Health, said the integration gives clinicians access to "trusted, cited answers within a workflow they already use at the point of care."
Doximity states its membership includes more than 85% of all U.S. physicians, and its Clinical AI Suite has been deployed across more than 165 health systems, including 10 of the nation's top 20 hospitals. The company also noted that nearly one in four medical questions cannot be answered by available research, citing a study posted on medRxiv.
In July, Doximity Ask was ranked first among U.S. clinical AI models in the NOHARM study conducted by researchers at Stanford and Harvard, according to the press release.
Wolters Kluwer reported annual revenues of €6.1 billion for 2025 and serves customers in over 180 countries.
