Varonis and Collibra link up to automate sensitive data tagging

October 20, 2026 9:01 AM EDT

Varonis Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNS) announced an integration with Collibra that brings sensitive data classification directly into the Collibra Enterprise AI Control Plane, according to a company press release dated Oct. 20, 2026.

The integration allows Varonis sensitivity labels to sync continuously into the Collibra data catalog, enabling governance, privacy, and security teams to assess whether data is suitable for use in AI projects without manual tagging.

With the integration in place, teams can view sensitivity labels while evaluating data for AI training and analytics, flag regulated data types such as personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), and financial records through Collibra workflows, and share a unified view of data sensitivity across departments.

Varonis Chief Marketing Officer Rob Sobers said in a statement: "Trustworthy AI starts with trustworthy data. With hundreds of connectors across SaaS applications, cloud platforms, and databases, Varonis gives Collibra customers deep visibility into data sensitivity so their teams can make smarter, faster decisions about which data to use for AI."

The integration is available for joint customers on the Collibra Marketplace.
