October 20, 2026 7:16 AM EDT

Best Buy Co. has launched Best Buy Gamers in beta, a free online destination available on BestBuy.com and the Best Buy App as of Oct. 20, featuring personalized gaming content, deals, and member offers.

The platform allows users to create personal profiles, select preferred gaming platforms and genres, and access gaming content produced in partnership with media outlet IGN, including reviews, articles, and videos.

Patrick McGinnis, chief revenue officer at Best Buy, said in a statement: "For decades, Best Buy has been the destination for gamers, and Best Buy Gamers is another way we're reaching more customers and bringing fans closer to the culture they love, from the lead-up to launch day to the hours spent playing at home."

Best Buy plans to open a dedicated in-store gaming experience in Torrance, California in November, where customers can play titles, receive tips, and attend events co-hosted with IGN. The platform will also feature event updates, including late-night store openings tied to the Nov. 5 launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and a League of Legends pop-up with Alienware and Team Liquid at its Brooklyn location.

Exclusive offers will be available to My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members. The first 200,000 members to create a profile will receive a $5 bonus reward, valid through Dec. 31, 2026.

A sweepstakes running through Nov. 30, 2026, gives customers the chance to win a two-minute in-store shopping spree, allowing the winner to keep all items collected. The grand prize trip is scheduled for Jan. 13–15, 2027.

Best Buy said it will continue adding features and content to the platform based on user feedback during the beta period.
