Moderna Inc stock climbed 4.4% in morning trading on Monday, as investors positioned ahead of a cancer vaccine data presentation scheduled for Saturday.
The company will present full Phase 3 results from the INTerpath-001 trial at the ESMO Congress 2026 Presidential Symposium on October 24. The trial evaluates intismeran autogene combined with Merck's Keytruda compared to Keytruda alone in patients with resected high-risk melanoma. Moderna will host an investor webcast the same afternoon.
Bank of America lifted its price target on the stock to $220 from $200 while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The stock is recovering after dropping on October 16 from its 52-week high of $242.29. Moderna's inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 index on October 9 continues to support the shares through passive fund demand.
Competitors BioNTech and Pfizer remained largely unchanged, indicating the move was specific to Moderna rather than sector-wide.
