MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) announced an exclusive strategic alliance with Blue-Band LLC to deliver lidar-powered smart infrastructure solutions to the intelligent transportation system market, according to a press release issued October 19, 2026.
Under the alliance, MicroVision's short- and long-range lidar technologies will be integrated with Blue-Band's intelligent transportation software and real-time traffic system platform. The companies said the combined offering targets transportation agencies and infrastructure operators seeking to modernize road networks.
The alliance is intended to address three application areas: intersection monitoring and traffic signal optimization, incident and hazard detection, and scalable infrastructure modernization compatible with existing systems.
"Smart transportation infrastructure represents a compelling and near-term commercial opportunity as the industry demands complete solutions that can be deployed and scaled," said James Byun, Chief Commercial Officer of MicroVision. "By combining our advanced lidar portfolio, both short- and long-range, with Blue-Band's ITS expertise, we are expanding our market reach now and strengthening our ability to convert growing demand into revenue-generating opportunities, all while contributing positively to our bottom line."
Kevin Yorke, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blue-Band, said the alliance brings together the company's transportation expertise with MicroVision's lidar sensor portfolio to deliver scalable solutions for customers.
Blue-Band's IntegraOS platform connects field sensing systems with intersection analytics and traffic management tools. MicroVision, headquartered in Redmond, Washington, operates engineering centers in the U.S. and Germany.
