Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced global price increases for its liquid crystal polymer (LCP) products, effective immediately or as customer contracts allow, according to a company statement.
The Dallas-based company cited demand strength, higher feedstock and raw material costs, raw material supply chain disruptions, and logistics constraints as reasons for the adjustments.
For LCP/PCT base resin, prices for Vectra® E-grades and Thermx® will increase by $1.00/kg in Asia, $0.45/lb in the Americas, and €0.90/kg in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prices for Vectra® A-grades, Vectra® S-grades, Vectra® All Other, Zenite®, CoolPoly®, and MT®-Grades will increase by $3.50/kg in Asia, $1.59/lb in the Americas, and €3.15/kg in EMEA. The company noted that individual grades may be subject to higher increases than those listed.
