La-Z-Boy Incorporated (NYSE: LZB) has completed the acquisition of two La-Z-Boy stores in New Orleans, LA, bringing its total company-owned store count to 237, according to a press release from the Monroe, Mich.-based furniture maker.
The company said the New Orleans acquisition is part of a broader expansion effort. The 237 company-owned locations represent more than 62% of all La-Z-Boy stores and, the company said, mark an all-time high. The total La-Z-Boy retail network currently stands at approximately 380 stores across the U.S. and Canada.
La-Z-Boy said it expects to open approximately 10 new stores per year, with the majority being company-owned, as it works toward a long-term target of 450 total La-Z-Boy stores across the U.S. and Canada.
