Kimberly-Clark shares rise following preliminary Q3 earnings beat

October 15, 2026 8:17 AM EDT

Investing.com -- Shares of Kimberly-Clark (NASDAQ: KMB) climbed 1.8% on Thursday morning after the consumer goods giant posted preliminary third-quarter financial results that topped Wall Street estimates.

The company reported preliminary net sales of $4.13 billion for the quarter, edging past the consensus estimate of $4.1 billion. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) reached $1.70, beating the consensus estimate of $1.60.

Despite the Q3 beat, Kimberly-Clark maintained its full-year 2026 outlook. The company still anticipates organic sales growth to trail its weighted average category growth by roughly 100 basis points across its operating markets. Management attributed this drag primarily to the previously disclosed fallout from social media disruptions in China. Currently, the company’s trailing 12-month weighted average category growth stands at approximately 1.7%.

Looking ahead to the rest of 2026, Kimberly-Clark expects constant-currency adjusted operating profit to grow in the mid-single digits. While adjusted EPS from continuing operations is forecast to climb in the high-single digits, total adjusted EPS attributable to the company is projected to decline in the low-single digits on a constant-currency basis.

Kimberly-Clark will release its finalized third-quarter 2026 financials, along with supplemental materials, on November 5.
