American Water (NYSE: AWK) announced leadership changes at its Missouri and Illinois subsidiaries, effective Oct. 23, 2026, according to a company statement.
Rich Svindland resigned as president of Missouri American Water to pursue another professional opportunity. Svindland previously held leadership roles at both Missouri American Water and California American Water.
Rebecca Losli, who has served as president of Illinois American Water since 2022, will take over as president of Missouri American Water. Brian Eisenloeffel, currently vice president of Operations at Illinois American Water, has been named president of Illinois American Water.
Losli joined American Water in 2021 as director of Engineering for Missouri American Water. She later became vice president of Engineering and Business Development in Missouri before moving to lead the Illinois subsidiary. Prior to joining American Water, she served as program manager at the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, founded Losli Engineering, LLC, and was Water Regional Global Practice Leader at Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company.
Eisenloeffel has more than 20 years of experience with American Water, beginning his career at Missouri American Water in 2002 as an engineer. He has held roles of increasing responsibility, including senior director of Operations in St. Louis County, before becoming vice president of Operations for Illinois American Water in 2024.
"Rebecca and Brian are proven leaders who bring complementary strengths to these roles," said Cheryl Norton, executive vice president and chief operating officer of American Water.
