Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A, BRK-B) has made an additional $330 million investment in Milan-based technology company Bending Spoons, according to a press release from the company.
The new investment follows Berkshire Hathaway's $600 million participation in Bending Spoons' initial public offering in July 2026, bringing its total ownership stake in the company to 4%.
The transaction is structured as a private placement, with Bending Spoons issuing 10 million ordinary shares at $33.00 per share. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, and additional details will be filed in a Form 6-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Bending Spoons CEO and co-founder Luca Ferrari said: "We were delighted to welcome Berkshire Hathaway as shareholders at our public listing, and we're equally delighted to reinforce the partnership through this fresh investment, which underscores our mutual respect and excitement for what lies ahead."
Francesco Patarnello, Bending Spoons Head of Business Acquisitions and co-founder, said the company's mergers and acquisitions pipeline "remains strong" and that the investment would "further enhance our financial flexibility and ability to pursue attractive acquisitions."
Bending Spoons acquires digital businesses and implements operational changes across its portfolio, which includes Airtable, AOL, Brightcove, Eventbrite, Evernote, Tractive, Vimeo, and WeTransfer.
