Noodles & Company (NASDAQ: NDLS) is adding ramen as a permanent menu category, launching three brothless ramen bowls at its restaurants nationwide as of Oct. 14, according to a company press release.
The three dishes are Gochujang Carbonara Ramen Noodles, Sweet Sesame Steak Ramen Noodles, and Spicy Korean Steak Ramen Noodles. Gochujang Carbonara Ramen Noodles combines a gochujang-Parmesan carbonara sauce with bacon and cabbage. Sweet Sesame Steak Ramen Noodles features marinated steak with carrots and red peppers in a sesame sauce. Spicy Korean Steak Ramen Noodles pairs marinated steak with vegetables in a gochujang barbecue sauce.
The company said the Gochujang Carbonara and Sweet Sesame Steak varieties are available for a limited time, while ramen will remain a permanent menu category with additional dishes planned over time.
The launch follows the company's Chili Garlic Ramen, a limited-time offering the company described as one of its most successful menu launches, which it said brought more than 150,000 new guests to the brand.
"We've spent more than 30 years exploring what's possible with noodles, and ramen gives us another incredible canvas for flavor and creativity," said Tina Massey, vice president of culinary R&D at Noodles & Company.
The new menu items are available in restaurants, through the Noodles Rewards app, and online. Noodles & Company operates more than 390 restaurants.
