Gutter Supply moves to BigCommerce after 20 years on legacy platform

October 13, 2026 8:05 AM EDT

Gutter Supply, a distributor of residential and commercial water management products, has launched a new B2B and B2C storefront on BigCommerce and integrated Feedonomics for product feed management, replacing a custom platform the company had operated since 2004, according to a statement from Commerce.com (Nasdaq: CMRC), the parent company of BigCommerce and Feedonomics.

The company cited development delays on its previous platform as a key driver of the transition. A shopping cart upgrade on the legacy system reportedly took between nine months and a year to complete.

"When a shopping cart upgrade took nine months to a year, we realized we needed a different approach," said Mike Milliman, partner at Gutter Supply. "Now our marketing team can execute campaigns directly, and we can roll out new features without waiting months for custom development."

The new storefront includes tiered and bulk pricing, account-specific experiences, invoicing, net terms, and account management tools. Gutter Supply also built a QuickShop guided buying interface that allows contractors to select components by size, material, color, and style, viewing compatible parts on a single page. A Custom Cutting feature enables contractors to specify exact gutter lengths at the point of order, with the system validating cuts against total quantity ordered.

Through Feedonomics, Gutter Supply manages its product data feed from BigCommerce to Google Merchant Center. The company reported an improvement in its product approval rate since launch and said the feed is easier to manage overall.

The new site was developed by Amsive, a BigCommerce partner. Gutter Supply said it plans to introduce a free-shipping program for contractor accounts and enhanced carrier partnerships in the coming year.
