QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK) announced a new embedded FPGA (eFPGA) Hard IP design win for a programmable system-on-chip (SoC) targeting battery management, precision motor control, and industrial robotic applications, according to a press release dated Oct. 13, 2026.
The SoC will be built on 16nm automotive process technology. The six-figure initial contract is expected to generate license revenue over the next six months, with royalty revenue anticipated upon production shipments.
The SoC will use QuickLogic's Australis eFPGA IP Generator, which the company says enables a programmable logic fabric tailored to specific performance, power, and area requirements.
"Battery management systems, industrial applications, and robotics represent exciting growth markets where adaptability and long product lifecycles are becoming increasingly important design considerations," said Andy Jaros, Vice President of IP Sales at QuickLogic. "Our eFPGA Hard IP provides that capability while preserving the efficiency benefits of a custom SoC."
QuickLogic said the contract expands its presence into robotics and battery management semiconductor markets. The company added that eFPGA Hard IP allows SoC developers to adapt algorithms and implement new features without requiring silicon redesigns.
