Nokia shares fall on agreement to sell Campus Edge to Aurelius
Investing.com -- Nokia Corporation announced Tuesday it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Enterprise Campus Edge business to AURELIUS, with the transaction expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
Shares of the company fell 4% following the announcement.
The Enterprise Campus Edge business serves nearly 900 customers across industries including manufacturing, mining, logistics, airports, ports and power generation worldwide. Its portfolio includes industrial devices, on-premises operational technology edge and micro-edge solutions, as well as software applications that enable industrial AI-powered use cases.
"This planned transaction supports Nokia’s strategy to sharpen its portfolio and direct capital and resources to the areas where it can create the greatest long-term value," said Konstanty Owczarek, Chief Corporate Development Officer at Nokia.
Nokia said the transaction will allow the Enterprise Campus Edge business to benefit from greater independence and a dedicated strategic focus as a standalone entity under AURELIUS’s ownership. The company said its priority throughout the transition will be continued growth of the business and continuity for existing customers and employees.
The Enterprise Campus Edge business specializes in private wireless solutions and digitalization platforms that help organizations improve operational performance, increase automation, and enhance sustainability and worker safety by connecting assets and processing operational technology data on premises.
