Inseego launches multi-WAN software for its SD-WAN appliances

October 12, 2026 5:28 PM EDT

Inseego Corp. (Nasdaq: INSG) introduced intelligent multi-WAN control software for its portfolio of SD-WAN appliances, according to a company press release dated Oct. 12, 2026.

The software enables automatic failover and traffic prioritization across multiple broadband sources, including outdoor 5G receivers, low Earth orbit satellite terminals, fiber, and other wired broadband connections. The capability is designed to allow operators to offer resilient connectivity at a price point comparable to simpler, single-link solutions.

The system continuously monitors WAN availability and automatically switches between connections based on priorities configured by the customer or operator. Inseego said the approach targets mission-critical environments such as remote sites, transportation, industrial deployments, and enterprise edge networks.

"Operators need the flexibility to address different customer needs while keeping their broadband offerings commercially attractive," said Ryan Sullivan, Chief Product Officer of Inseego. "We're bringing those needs together, allowing operators to dynamically manage the connections available at each location at a price point that makes resilient broadband accessible to more businesses and homes."

The capability is available on appliances including the Wavemaker FX4200 and can be managed through Inseego Connect, the company's cloud-based platform. Operators can incorporate the feature into managed-service offerings or allow business customers to manage their own configurations.

Inseego said the multi-WAN software builds on its portfolio following its acquisition of Nokia's fixed wireless access business, which included the FastMile product line. The company said operators can pair the Wavemaker FX4200 with FastMile outdoor receivers to deliver indoor routing, outdoor cellular reception, and cloud management from a single vendor.

Inseego plans to demonstrate the capability at its Network X booth, showing prioritized failover and recovery across multiple WAN connections under simulated link failures.
