Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) has introduced a Protocol Test Solution for PCIe 7.0, an integrated platform designed to help engineers validate, debug, and verify compliance of devices and systems operating at 128 GT/s.
The solution combines a protocol analyzer, exerciser, test platform, and dedicated analysis software. According to the company, the platform provides visibility into link training and status state machine behavior, FLIT-based encoding, protocol errors, and transaction layer issues without requiring analyzer tuning.
PCI Express 7.0 doubles the raw data rate compared to its predecessor, targeting rack-scale systems that connect graphics processing units, accelerators, switches, memory, and storage. The protocol exerciser supports speeds from 2.5 GT/s up to 128 GT/s and lane widths up to x16.
Keysight developed the solution in collaboration with Synopsys. Neeraj Paliwal, Senior Vice President of Silicon IP Product Management at Synopsys, said: "Establishing a reliable PCIe 7.0 link at 128 GT/s between production silicon and protocol test equipment is a key interoperability milestone."
Dr. Joachim Peerlings, Vice President of Network and Data Center Solutions at Keysight, said: "Our collaboration with Synopsys helps customers validate designs earlier, identify issues faster, and gain confidence in the readiness of next-generation silicon and systems."
Keysight plans to demonstrate the solution at OCP Global Summit 2026, scheduled for October 13–16, 2026, in San Jose, California. Information is based on a press release statement from Keysight Technologies.
