Salesforce to acquire AI analytics platform Loops for Tableau
Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Loops, an AI-powered analytics platform, according to a company press release. The transaction is expected to close in early November of Salesforce's fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
Loops monitors business performance, identifies changes in key metrics, and surfaces recommended actions using machine learning models. The platform can be triggered from Slack and email to track key performance indicators, detect trends and anomalies, and flag performance drivers.
Following the close of the transaction, Salesforce plans to integrate Loops's technology and personnel into its Tableau analytics unit.
Mark Recher, EVP and GM of Tableau, said the acquisition is intended to accelerate Tableau's mission. "Loops accelerates this mission, using powerful agentic AI to uncover the drivers behind business performance and surface where teams and agents can take action in real time," he said.
Tom Laufer, CEO and Co-Founder of Loops, said the two companies share a common vision. "Salesforce and Tableau share our vision for making actionable analytics accessible for every organization," he said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
