Ingram Micro awarded U.S. patent for its Xvantage platform

October 12, 2026 6:02 AM EDT

Ingram Micro Holding Corporation (NYSE: INGM) has been issued a U.S. patent for its Vendor and Customer Agnostic Framework (VCAF), a technology designed to allow customers, vendors and partners to connect to its Xvantage platform using their existing systems, data formats and business processes.

According to a company statement, VCAF eliminates the need for custom integrations by analyzing partner data, identifying unique business requirements and automatically generating, validating and deploying the configurations needed to link systems. The framework covers a range of functions including catalogs, quotes, orders, invoices, payments and reporting.

For vendors, the framework supports catalogs, rich content, recommendations, quotes, bids, purchase orders, provisioning, invoices, claims and accounts payable. For solution providers, it supports email-to-order, email-to-quote, accounts receivable, payments and reporting.

"VCAF transforms complex, costly integrations into a scalable intelligence advantage," said Sanjib Sahoo, Executive Vice President and President of the Global Platform Group at Ingram Micro. "Every new connection strengthens the network, increases the value of the platform and helps customers and vendors achieve better business outcomes."

Dham Pathervellai, Chief Technology Officer at Ingram Micro, said the patent supports the company's broader data connectivity goals. "For AI to deliver meaningful business outcomes, organizations need access to connected, trusted data," he said.

Partners can connect through Ingram Micro's APIs, MCP-enabled experiences or existing protocols, with VCAF handling integration in the background.
