Logitech (NASDAQ: LOGI) has debuted two new speaker products, the Rally Speaker 2 Pro and Rally Speaker 2 Max, designed for large conference rooms and training environments. The products feature the company's proprietary Sound Shape audio technology and mark Logitech's entry into the Pro AV market, according to a company press release.
The Rally Speaker 2 Pro uses a matrix array of 32 micro-drivers housed in a front-mounted soundbar, while the Rally Speaker 2 Max uses 64 drivers. Logitech states the technology uses wave-field physics to direct sound toward specific areas of a room, reducing echo without requiring ceiling-mounted speakers.
Logitech demonstrated a concept in which a Rally Speaker 2 Max simultaneously directs two separate audio feeds to different sides of a room, allowing listeners in each zone to hear a different language. The company said it is working with partners to integrate this capability with Microsoft Teams' Interpreter feature and Zoom's Voice Translator. Logitech described this dual-language zone concept as a first in the video conferencing industry, though this claim has not been independently verified.
"We've replaced the brute-force approach of cranking up room volume with wave-field physics—essentially steering sound waves through open air with surgical precision," said Karthik Rajagopal, Head of VC Engineering at Logitech.
The products are currently available for demonstration at the Logitech Experience Center in Silicon Valley. Commercial availability is scheduled for summer 2027.
