SLB (NYSE: SLB) announced a 15-year agreement with TotalEnergies to deploy its DrillPlan well planning and engineering solutions across TotalEnergies' global upstream portfolio, according to a company press release.

The agreement will connect subsurface insights with well planning and engineering workflows, supporting a standardized digital drilling planning environment. DrillPlan integrates offset well data, trajectory designs, casing and completion inputs, and planning assumptions used throughout the well construction process.

The deployment is intended to allow cross-functional teams to work from a shared data foundation, streamlining well design and engineering activities across TotalEnergies' operations.

Rakesh Jaggi, president of SLB's Digital business, said: "Operators are increasingly looking for scalable technologies that can support more consistent planning decisions across large and diverse portfolios. This agreement demonstrates how customers are moving toward digital solutions that improve consistency, strengthen collaboration and provide a foundation for future workflow innovation."

The agreement builds on an existing collaboration between the two companies and is structured to integrate custom processes, scale across operations, and support ongoing deployment of new digital technologies.
