Wallbox launches updated Pulsar Max charger in Europe

October 8, 2026 6:59 AM EDT

Wallbox (NYSE: WBX) announced the European launch of a new generation of its Pulsar Max AC electric vehicle charger, according to a company press release. The product is expected to be available across European markets starting in November 2026, with a progressive regional rollout.

The updated Pulsar Max includes ISO 15118-ready hardware with an integrated Power Line Communication layer, built-in RFID authentication, and Ethernet connectivity, alongside existing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options. The company said the Ethernet capability allows installers to connect multiple chargers through a single local network, making the unit suited for shared residential settings such as condominiums and multi-tenant buildings.

The charger is available in three configurations: tethered versions at 7.4 kW and 22 kW, and a 22 kW socket version. All variants are manageable through the Wallbox app and support solar energy surplus charging. The product carries a five-year warranty, subject to terms and conditions of sale.

"As electric mobility becomes mainstream, residential charging needs to evolve beyond simply delivering power to a vehicle," said Eduard Castañeda, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Wallbox. "With the new Pulsar Max, we are combining the simplicity and compact design that have defined the Pulsar family with greater connectivity, user identification and hardware designed for the next generation of EV charging."

Wallbox, headquartered in Barcelona, said the Pulsar platform has exceeded 600,000 units sold worldwide to date.
