Achieve Life Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACHV) has appointed Kaitlyn Tuson as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, according to a company statement.
Tuson, who brings 15 years of healthcare marketing experience, will lead the company's marketing, brand strategy, and corporate communications. Her background includes go-to-market leadership across more than 40 therapeutic areas globally, with six pharmaceutical product launches, three of which the company describes as blockbuster therapies.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew D. Goldberg, MD, said Tuson's experience in brand building, product launch strategy, and patient engagement will be relevant as the company advances toward a planned NDA resubmission for cytisinicline, its treatment candidate for nicotine dependence.
The appointment is part of a series of organizational moves Achieve has made in 2026 ahead of a potential commercialization of cytisinicline. Those steps include the appointment of Goldberg as CEO, a financing arrangement of up to $354 million, and the addition of senior leadership in commercial, manufacturing, and quality roles.
Achieve's NDA for cytisinicline for smoking cessation in adults is supported by two Phase 3 studies and an open-label long-term safety study. The company has also completed a Phase 2 study for nicotine e-cigarette cessation and has received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA for the vaping cessation indication.
