Progyny, Inc. (Nasdaq: PGNY) said its current annual selling season is on pace to reach a record level for new covered lives added to its managed fertility solution, based on commitments received and anticipated remaining decisions.
The New York-based company expects approximately 1.2 million new covered lives from client launches planned throughout the first half of 2027, according to a statement released Oct. 7, 2026.
Chief Executive Officer Pete Anevski attributed the selling season results in part to rising overall medical plan costs projected for 2027. "We believe it isn't coincidental that we're seeing these strong results given the expected record increases in the overall medical plan cost in 2027," Anevski said.
The company said employers are increasingly focused on cost management, clinical outcomes, and accountability when selecting benefit providers. Progyny stated its fertility program has shown a track record of reducing costly complications such as high-risk pregnancies, miscarriages, and multiple births.
Anevski also noted that the company offers an accelerated contracting path through channel partners for employers seeking to add or expand family building benefits ahead of 2027.
