SciSparc unit reports GPU speedup in gene combination analysis

October 7, 2026 8:22 AM EDT

SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC) announced that CliniQuantum Ltd., a majority-owned subsidiary of NeuroThera Labs Inc. (TSXV: NTLX), reported results from a computational benchmark of its GPU-accelerated quantum-simulation platform, according to a press release.

The platform achieved approximately 16.8 times faster processing using a single NVIDIA T4 Tensor Core GPU alongside a 64-core CPU machine, compared with the same machine running only on CPU. The benchmark was conducted on an AWS g4dn.16xlarge EC2 instance using IBM Qiskit Aer GPU-based quantum simulation.

The test used a clinical gene-expression dataset from 11 patients containing 3,531 gene-expression features. The algorithm searched for correlated three-gene configurations across approximately 7.3 billion possible combinations, identifying around 22.2 million correlated gene triplets. The CPU-only analysis took approximately 8.4 hours, while the GPU-accelerated run completed in approximately 0.5 hours, producing identical results.

The company noted that the benchmark was designed to evaluate computational performance only and did not establish the clinical validity, predictive value, or utility of any identified gene combinations.

CliniQuantum stated it plans to continue developing its algorithms for more complex multi-feature configurations and larger biomedical datasets, with a stated pathway toward execution on quantum computing hardware.
