October 6, 2026 9:03 AM EDT

Securitize (NYSE: SECZ) and LG CNS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop tokenized asset infrastructure in South Korea, the companies announced.

Under the agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate across three areas: identifying opportunities for tokenized assets and stablecoins with Korean and Asia-Pacific financial institutions; developing tokenization solutions tailored to South Korea's regulatory framework; and exploring digital asset infrastructure, including stablecoin infrastructure and treasury solutions that could connect Korean markets with global markets.

Securitize, which reported approximately $5 billion in assets under management as of September 2026, operates regulated digital securities infrastructure in the U.S. and EU. LG CNS is a South Korean technology company with operations spanning AI, blockchain, and cloud computing, with existing relationships across Korea's financial sector.

Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, said the partnership aims to "help build the infrastructure that can bring more high-quality financial products onchain in Korea while creating stronger connections between Korean institutions and global capital markets."

Hongkeun Kim, executive vice president and head of the Digital Business Division at LG CNS, said the collaboration aims to "help Korean financial institutions build practical, regulatory-compliant applications and accelerate the growth of Korea's digital asset ecosystem."

The partnership is expected to include joint go-to-market initiatives, technical implementation, and product development. The companies noted that any products or services under the collaboration remain subject to applicable laws, required regulatory approvals, and each company's internal compliance processes.
