Affirm and Antom partner to offer buy now, pay later in the US

Affirm (NASDAQ: AFRM) and Antom, Ant International's merchant payment platform, have announced a partnership that will allow Antom's U.S. merchants to offer Affirm's pay-over-time service at checkout.

Through the integration, customers can choose biweekly or monthly payment plans on purchases ranging from $35 to $30,000, with repayment terms between 30 days and 36 months. Six-month interest-free options are also available. Affirm charges no late or hidden fees, and the full cost is disclosed upfront. Merchants can enable the service through Antom's portal.

"Our merchants are looking for payment options that can support their growth while remaining simple to integrate and familiar to their customers," said Gary Liu, CEO of Antom and Senior Vice President of Ant International. "Affirm is a name their customers recognize and trust, so offering it is an easy call."

Steve McPhee, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Affirm, said: "Antom brings Affirm to its growing merchant base in the US today, and its global footprint gives us real room to grow together."

The companies said the service is expected to expand to the UK before the end of the year, with additional markets planned for the future. According to the press release, 96% of Affirm transactions come from repeat customers.
