Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analyst Christopher McGratty lowered the price target on Huntington Bancshares (NASDAQ: HBAN) to $18.00 (from $19.50) while maintaining a Market Perform rating.
The analyst commented: "We are lowering our 2026/2027E by -3%/-5% to reflect recently updated guidance for NII/loan growth. At 8.5x our revised 2027E, HBAN trades at a ~15% relative discount to Super Regional banks despite an in-line and solid ROTCE of 17%+ (2027E). This could represent an interesting entry point with theoretically derisked earnings estimates and as investors seek to identify out of favor names once the macro outlook improves."
