OmniAb expands xPloration platform access and launches peptide discovery unit

OmniAb, Inc. (NASDAQ: OABI) held an Investor & Analyst Day on October 6, 2026, in Emeryville, California, where the company outlined revenue expectations for its xPloration platform and introduced a new peptide discovery offering called OmniTides.

Beginning in October 2026, the xPloration platform became available for purchase by all customers, expanding commercial access beyond a Partner Access Program launched in 2025. OmniAb described the addressable market for xPloration as exceeding $500 million. The company projected xPloration revenue of between $2 million and $3 million in 2026, with expectations that revenue will double in 2027 and double again in 2028.

xPloration is an AI-powered, high-throughput single B-cell screening platform that isolates B cells into approximately 1.5 million individual capillaries using proprietary chip technology. The platform uses automated imaging and AI-based computer vision to screen cells and can extract selected live cells for immediate sequencing.

OmniAb also introduced OmniTides, a peptide discovery platform powered by its OmniUltra transgenic chicken platform. According to the company, OmniTides is designed to provide an integrated discovery-to-synthesis workflow, with peptide manufacturing available through qualified contract research organizations.

The company highlighted its partner pipeline, noting that based on partner disclosures, as many as 19 clinical trials evaluating OmniAb-derived drugs could reach primary completion in the remaining months of 2026 and in 2027.
