Star Gold Corp. (OTCQB: SRGZ) has appointed Tom Power as its chief operating officer, according to a press release statement from the company. Power previously served on Star Gold's Board of Directors.

Power spent nearly two decades as president and CEO of Sunshine Minting, Inc., a precious metals mint. During his tenure, the company grew from a 30-employee regional supplier into a multinational operation with hundreds of employees across five facilities in the United States and China. He began his career at Johnson Matthey Ltd., the Canadian division of UK-based Johnson Matthey PLC, before joining Sunshine Minting's senior management team in 1997. He acquired full ownership of Sunshine Minting in January 2007 and retains advisory relationships with the company.

In his new role, Power will oversee Star Gold's operations, supply chain, and organizational performance.

"Tom's operational expertise and track record of scaling global manufacturing organizations make him an exceptional addition to Star Gold's executive team," said Lindsay Gorrill, chairman and CEO of Star Gold Corp.

"I'm honored to join Star Gold at such a pivotal moment," Power said. "The company's commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and disciplined growth aligns with my own values."

Star Gold is an exploration and development company focused on its Longstreet Gold-Silver Project in Nye County, Nevada. The project spans approximately 2,600 acres, comprising 137 unpatented mining claims and five additional unpatented claims held under lease with an option to purchase. The company is currently advancing technical studies in support of a potential Environmental Impact Statement.
