CGI (NYSE: GIB) has been selected by France's Ministry of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Food Sovereignty to modernize the ministry's information system, following an open call for bids, according to a press release dated Oct. 6, 2026.

The program covers the transformation of more than 70 business applications used by citizens and ministry employees. CGI will deploy its proprietary CGI MAP solution, which includes automation capabilities, to manage the application portfolio modernization. The company will also draw on its Digital Innovation Centre in France.

The initiative is intended to address digital accessibility, user experience, eco-design, and public digital standards, while improving the performance and resilience of the ministry's information system.

Thierry Deldicque, Deputy Director of the Digital Division at the Ministry, said: "This program represents a major milestone in the transformation of our information system. It will enable us to modernize our application portfolio in a sustainable manner while improving the accessibility, quality and performance of the digital services we provide to our users."

Clement Bernard, Senior Vice-President of CGI's Grand Sud region, said the ministry would benefit from "an industrialized, product-based approach" built on CGI's experience with large-scale transformations.

CGI, founded in 1976, reported fiscal 2025 revenue of CA$15.91 billion and employs approximately 94,000 consultants and professionals globally.
